I will be honest, I picked this book up with a lot of expectations.  Stephen King, vampires, and the old west.  It would seem to be exactly what was missing in my life.  The story follows an actress that is trying to make it.  She eventually gets invited to a party with her boss that has some fatal consequences.  She then has a run in with a notorious criminal and that sets a lot of things in motion.  The story jumps back and forth between characters and between different times.  This interrupts any flow that the story could have had.  I can see what they were trying to do with the bouncing around, but a better story could have been told if they would have just told the story without the jumping around.

Overall, I had a lot of expectations for this book, and it just didn’t get there.  Still, I will try the next one and see what happens to the characters.
