Alright, let’s get real here – I totally watched the movie before diving into this book. And you know what? The story is pretty much the same, but with a few tweaks to amp up the excitement for the big screen. I mean, who doesn’t love a little extra drama, right?

I have to admit, I was a fan of the movie, so it’s no shocker that I also enjoyed the book. Set in the chilling town of Barrow, Alaska, where the sun takes a 30-day vacation during winter, it’s the perfect feeding ground for vampires. And let’s be real, trying to escape with limited access in and out? Good luck with that.

Overall, it’s a solid vampire tale that really puts the non-vampires at a serious disadvantage. But what really caught my eye was the artwork in this book. It’s like the illustrations just leap off the page with top-notch quality, bringing the story to life in a whole new way. Trust me, it’s a bloody good time.
