Downflower Library and Temple
The Dawnflower Library, located at 10 Dawnflower Street in Otari on the southern coast of the Isle of Kortos, serves as both a temple dedicated to Sarenrae and a public library. Overseen by High Priestess Vandy Banderdash, a talkative halfling woman, the temple also houses shrines to deities such as Cayden Cailean, Erastil, and Gozreh. Beyond its extensive collection of books, the Dawnflower Library offers medicine, magical healing, and divine spellcasting services to the community.
The temple stands at Otari’s westernmost edge, atop a raised shelf overlooking the sea below the clifftop.
In addition to its religious and educational functions, the library provides resources for adventurers, including the sale of cleric spell scrolls, wands imbued with cleric spells, and +1 magic weapons.
The Dawnflower Library is a central hub for both spiritual guidance and knowledge in Otari, reflecting Sarenrae’s teachings of temperance, patience, and compassion. The temple’s inclusive nature is evident in its accommodation of multiple deities, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose among the town’s inhabitants.
