After finishing book one, I was eager to dive right into book two. This installment delves into a secret investigation happening on Babylon 5 that has everyone on edge. The staff is ordered to clear out for this top-secret operation, which even the joint chiefs of staff are involved in. It’s all hush-hush, need-to-know stuff, and the station is buzzing with mystery.
But, of course, bodies start popping up, forcing the station to launch its own investigation. Meanwhile, the residents are getting antsy about the whole covert operation. And to add to the chaos, cargo ships are being targeted by pirates who seem to have insider information.
Despite a glaring error on page 252 (seriously, how did that slip through?), the story picks up in the back third of the book and keeps you hooked. Overall, I enjoyed the read, flaws and all. It’s a solid addition to the Babylon 5 universe, even if it has a few bumps along the way.
