In the thrilling 3rd installment of the series, the Cahill kids jet off to Japan in search of the mysterious secret hidden within ancient swords. Along the way, they encounter a slew of obstacles – from losing their au pair to having their plane tickets stolen, and even forming alliances with shady characters whose loyalty is questionable at best. Will they crack the code of the next clue, or will they fall victim to betrayal from unexpected sources?

While the storyline is decent, I must admit that the Cahill kids seem to attract more betrayal than a soap opera. And let’s not forget that one part of the book that felt like déjà vu from the last installment – I had to double-check to make sure I wasn’t stuck in a time loop!
