Let me start by saying, I’m not usually one to dive into short stories, but hey, I’m open to new experiences. The first story introduces us to a former CIA agent who’s been hit with a deadly bioweapon that’s ticking down her clock. With her husband already out of the picture, she’s on a mission to uncover the truth before time’s up. It’s like a CIA version of the movie Crank – not bad, but it feels like the story lost its steam along the way.

Next up, we have a security firm tackling a ballpark challenge filled with twists and turns. It’s a decent story, with some thrilling moments, but it sticks to the classic story formula like a security guard on duty.

Now, the final story is where things get juicy. We follow a Dr. through a whirlwind of chaos – divorce, a son in rehab, a security breach, and some shady housekeepers with a past. This story has depth, complexity, and kept me hooked from start to finish.

Overall, short stories aren’t usually my cup of tea, but these weren’t half bad. They had their moments of brilliance, but sometimes it felt like they just ran out of steam. Hey, at least they kept me entertained!
