This volume is full of backstory for Rin.  It has been a long time coming and as you would suspect there is more to Rin that what we have been told already.  Mephisto takes him on a journey that he might not be prepared to take.  I really liked the way it was done and the way the story unfolds.  It adds so much to what has already happened and really leaves with a sense that something big is about to happen.

Overall, this was a really good book that contains a lot of intensity.  Once again it left me wanting more and more I will go get.
