This is one of my favorite books in this series as of late. The story felt like it was actually going somewhere. The crew is looking for the entrance to the Illuminati fortress. They come across a strange town called dream town and this gives them a good clue on what is going on. In the other part of the story, Isumo has been captured and is going to be experimented on by a horrific professor Gedoin. He wants Izumo to be the next test subject when her mother fails to exist anymore. To be honest, I like the direction this story went in. From zombies and ghouls to a secret laboratory conducting nasty experiments, it set a good scene. Then we put that with the exwires doing what they do, you get a good story.
Overall, this felt like it had a lot in its pages. A lot of the volumes the chapters go by and feel like a lot of fillers, but in this one it all felt like it moved the story along. I am looking forward to the next book, and I hope it contains more of what this one did. More of what really pushed the story forward.
