The great Abraham Lincoln not only has a destiny to be a great president, he also will go down in legend as a great vampire hunter. Now just from that, you would figure this to be a great movie. You would figure who better to stop vampires from running the world than the great Abraham Lincoln. That of course is all true. The story idea is fantastic. The translation to the big screen falls short. The film is very slow in places and takes forever to get to anything exciting. I like the casting for most of the roles. I like the way the world is displayed. Furthermore, I like the special effects. I just could not get past how the movie dragged in places. Overall it is a decent film, with a great premise, and some pretty cool special effects. It just failed on the pacing of the movie, and that undos all the great aspects of the film.
