The story follows Monty. Monty is on his last day as a free man. He was caught with drugs and drug money in his appartment. When he gets sentenced for seven years he wants to have one more night with friends, family and his girlfriend. The story itself does get long. You spend long moments watching a guy walk. I also was slightly confused with some of the flash backs. The transition to the flash backs is unclear. This could be intentional. the one thing this film does have is some pretty good dialog. Though at times it seems like dialog for dialog sake. Other times the dialog does not seem natural. A couple scenes really don’t seem to fit with the story but happen anyways. I was also a little uncertain on why they needed to have one of the closing segments. Still I did enjoy moments of the film, actually whole sections of the movie. The movie is just over 2 hours and a good hour of the film in the middle goes really quick. The setup and the close though do drag a big.

Overall this is one of those films that I am glad that I watched it but it wouldn’t be something I would watch again. For the most part the actors and actresses do a great job. The film does have a few things that make it a struggle. Some of the scenes do drag on and have a weird camera perspective. For the most part it is a good film just gets long in places. This is not a high action film but a film with dialog and a mans reaction to going to jail the next day. In that sense it does do a pretty good job giving a perspective on that.
