Theodora Kingfisher
General of the Silver Talons, bona fide war hero, and reluctant politician, Theodora sees herself as primarily and directly opposed to her brother, Thurgud. She doesn’t want to be the Lady, but no one under her believes that Thurgud deserves the silver laurel crown – not after everything that she has given the clearing and how little he has done. Her supporters have convinced her, but she doesn’t want to bring Talon Hill to another civil war. Secretly, she believes that Thurgud does likely have the best legal claim to the crown, but she knows that he is not well suited to leadership and, moreover, hasn’t earned the right to lead as she has.
