I will tell you I was hooked when I first watched the trailer for this. You see a T-rex roar and his jaw falls off. I knew at that moment that I had to have this game. I have been a fan of the Lego games, starting with Lego Indiana Jones, so it is no surprise that I would want this one as well. The game consists of missions that take place in all four movies. Each movie has its missions but also has a free play area. You can do the missions, or you can do things in the free play area. The missions are all fun and even some of them offer a fair amount of challenge to them. Of course, you get to collect minikits and in Jurassic World you collect a hidden amber that unlocks a dinosaur. You also have challenges where you must collect a certain number of bricks to complete it. If that is not enough for you in the free play mode of each movie you have workers to rescue, gold bricks, red bricks to collect, races, and dinosaur challenges to complete. If that still is not enough, you get a couple special areas such as the large tank that you can use the Mosasaurus in or the Pterodactyls that you can fly around with inside the cage. This game really gets all of those right. You can play the missions that take around 30 minutes to complete, or you can just have fun running around the free play areas collecting things as well. There are all kinds of characters to unlock, including playable dinosaurs.
Overall, this was a really fun game. I enjoyed the missions, I enjoyed the free play, and I enjoyed finding all the collectables. The only really issue I have with the game is the same I have with every Lego game, and that it is full of glitches. Some are bad enough you have to turn the game off and start the mission over. Other than the glitches, I enjoyed every other aspect of this game.
