Black Leopard Red Wolf – Book Review

Overview: Tracker is known far and wide for his skills as a hunter: “He has a nose,” people say. Hired to find a mysterious boy who has disappeared. Tracker breaks his own rule of always working alone when he finds himself part of a group assembled to search for the boy. The band is a hodgepodge, full of unusual characters with secrets of their own, including a shape-shifting man-animal known as the Leopard.

As tracker follows the boy’s scent, he and the band are set upon by creatures intent on destroying them. As he fights for survival, Tracker starts to wonder: Who, really, is this boy? Why has he been missing for so long? Why do so many people want to keep the boy from being found? And perhaps most important of all: Who is telling the truth, and who is lying?

This book is currently in the running for numerous awards, showcasing its unique blend of fantasy, myth, and history. The protagonist, known as Tracker, possesses an unparalleled ability to track things unlike anyone else. As he navigates through a tumultuous journey of self-discovery, he finds himself entangled with unexpected allies, rejected tribes, and forbidden kingdoms.

The narrative is a rollercoaster ride, with twists and turns that will leave you questioning the author’s sanity. There seems to be an odd fascination with male genitalia and its various functions, sprinkled throughout the story like confetti at a questionable party. At times, the plot veers off course, leaving you wondering why you bothered picking up the book in the first place.

I must confess, I cannot in good conscience recommend this book. Despite my inner turmoil and the urge to hurl it into the nearest bonfire, I soldiered on. The thought of abandoning it crossed my mind, but alas, my moral compass pointed me towards the finish line. In the end, this book teeters on the edge of fantasy, never quite delivering a cohesive narrative worth investing your time in.

In conclusion, this book is a wild ride that may leave you scratching your head in confusion. Proceed with caution, and be prepared for a literary journey that may test your patience and sanity.
