Lately, I’ve been a bit of a tough critic when it comes to this series. It felt like it had lost its spark. But lo and behold, in this latest installment, we’ve got a copycat killer on the loose, pretending to be the infamous Evan Burke. Talk about a plot twist!

As Cindy starts blabbing about her book on Evan Burke, murders start popping up left and right. And guess who’s not willing to lend a helping hand? You got it – Evan Burke himself. Meanwhile, Yuki is knee-deep in a trial involving some seriously twisted torture methods. Just another day in the life of our favorite crime-fighting crew.

This book really brings back the suspense we’ve been missing. What’s Burke’s deal? Who’s pulling the strings behind these murders? Are they even connected? Sure, there are a few odd moments that don’t quite fit, but hey, nobody’s perfect.

And just when you think things couldn’t get any crazier, the killer starts taunting Lindsay. Challenge accepted! Will this be the end of Lindsay Boxer’s adventures, or is there more to come? Personally, I’m betting on more. After all, who can resist a good mystery?
