Rating: 4 Star

In this riveting novel, Lindsay finds herself pregnant and pondering the future, all while diving headfirst into not one, but two intriguing cases. The first involves a series of decapitated heads discovered at a movie star’s estate – a star previously accused of murdering his late wife. The second case revolves around a string of drug deal murders, with evidence pointing back to the police department itself. As if that wasn’t enough drama, Joe is caught in a compromising photo with a former partner, adding even more tension to the mix.

I must say, this book finally delivers on what I’ve been craving – a true ensemble feel for the Women’s Murder Club. The ladies step up and play a more active role in cracking the case, which is a refreshing change of pace. The pacing of the story is spot-on, keeping me hooked from start to finish. While some parts may drag a bit, the overall intensity and drive of the plot make up for any slow moments.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It’s a quick, engaging read that doesn’t hold back on the thrills. The writers have truly hit their stride, bringing back the essence of the Women’s Murder Club and reminding us that everyone has a part to play in solving the mystery.
