Eagle Eye Bow

Legendary Longbow
Requires Attunement by an Elf or Half-Elf

The Eagle Eye Bow is a legendary magical longbow crafted from fine golden oak and designed in the elegant tradition of elven bowyers. Intricate leaf patterns are inlaid along the length of the bow, each shaped like the sharp, pointed leaves of an aspen tree. The craftsmanship is exceptionally fine, giving the weapon an appearance that is as much a work of art as it is a deadly weapon.

Only an elf or half-elf can attune to the Eagle Eye Bow. A qualifying creature must spend a short rest attuning to the bow before accessing its magical properties.

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.

Eagle Eye (3/Day): When you make an attack with the Eagle Eye Bow and the attack hits, but the attack roll was not a natural 20, you may invoke the bow’s Eagle Eye ability. Roll the attack again against the same target. If the second attack roll also hits, the original attack is treated as a critical hit.

Using Eagle Eye does not require another arrow or create an additional attack. Instead, the second roll represents the supernatural precision granted by the legendary bow as its magic guides the shot toward a devastating location.

The Eagle Eye Bow can use this ability three times per day, regaining all expended uses each day.

In the hands of an accomplished archer, the Eagle Eye Bow can turn an already accurate shot into a devastating strike. Its unusual magic rewards characters who are consistently able to hit their targets while providing additional opportunities to produce critical hits during important battles.

The bow’s golden-oak construction, distinctive aspen-leaf inlays, elven craftsmanship, and legendary enchantment make it an exceptionally rare weapon. Examples that survive are highly prized among elven communities, renowned archers, collectors, and adventurers.
