Sheriff’s Office
The Sheriff’s Office: A small, squat building at the edge of town, with a jail cell that can hold up to three men at a time. Sheriff Hank Thornton, a former lawman from Tucson, keeps things relatively peaceful with his intimidating presence. The building has a dusty, faded American flag hanging from a rusted pole and a few wanted posters plastered on the outside walls. The sheriff’s office is often where the most important decisions in Cactus Flats are made—though the local gamblers might argue otherwise.
Sheriff Hank Thornton: A grizzled, middle-aged man who carries the weight of past mistakes. His face is weathered, with deep lines from years of sun and hard living. He once worked as a lawman in Tucson but was run out after a violent dispute. Now, in Cactus Flats, he’s determined to maintain order, even if his methods are occasionally… flexible.
