This story follows the group as they need to figure out who is trying to get the demon eye that was being protected. Someone is able to get past security and into the complex. The group of students is sent via train to another town to help in the investigation but come across some things that they were not expecting. The volume does explore more depth to some other characters in the story beside Rin. I enjoyed that they flushed the other characters out. This book still has a few pages that don’t seem to fit into the story, but for the most part the story is good. I got really engaged into what was going on and pretty much read this book in one sitting. I did have to, a couple time, go back to the beginning of the book and read about the main characters as it has been a while since anything involved a few of them that I forgot who they were.
Overall this is a good read and for the most part it was a new direction to take the main characters. I will quickly be working to get my hands on volume 6, so I can continue on with the series.
