This was recommended to me by a friend. Being the guy I am, I dove right in. The book is fairly consistent throughout. It does not have a lot of highs or many lows. The story follows Rin who has a secret that even he does not know. He did not know his parent and with good reason, his blood is that of Satan. This leads him to a place that he wants to use his bloodline to defeat demons and be more than what his bloodline says he should be. The story is average, has a little action but a solid story, at least for a start.
Overall, this was a good enough introduction to the series that I will want to read more. Hopefully some surprises are in-store as I get deeper into the series. The main couple of characters are interesting, and I am looking forward to how the banter between the two continues. Looking forward to more, so that says something about the first book.
