I am this deep into this series so I have kept going even if the last book was a bit of a let down. I suspected in the last book it was setting up some big story lines. I was correct about that. In this book we see some Hatchitech in action. We see that the X-men are going to be tested. The lines between friends and foes will be blurred. We also see the impacts of a X-men being married to a non mutant. How the mutant wants to protect, how the non-mutant feels about that, and how the non mutant must adapt more than one might think.
Overall this series of stories brings up the level, brings some action, brings some depth, and does develop the stories that were setup in the last book.
