Tov – Function for Nanomei

Aetherium Tov

” My blood boils.  I feel it twisting my veins, burning through my skin, desperately pushing out into the world.  I feel it – all I have to hold my fuse, to swallow the hatred and stinking contempt that I know.  I feel it.  Piss on the maggots that run this sphere.  The pressure is constant, building, eating me alive.  If I had my way, I would let it go, let it all spin outward in a fiery vomit.  This whole mess would be soaked in delicious, beautiful flame.  Burn.  Burn it to the ground in hours.  I feel it”

While the bulk of the Nanomei forces are a turbulent and chaotic mass, there are some individuals who find themselves apart from their peers.  While these users would never find themselves manifest as an avatar, their skills sit significantly beyond the rank and file of the Subroutines.  Most of the individuals are willing to take more than just a stand against the corporate juggernauts and government entities.  Those that have a talent for destruction and a pure dedication to The Cause often select a potent path of ferocious resistance known simply as Tov.

Regardless of their material disposition, all Tov users share one thing in common, a near fanatical desire to further The Cause.  They believe with the very fiber of their souls that the will of the individual cannot be controlled.  Everyone deserves freedom.  Nothing, no corporate behemoth nor government agency, should be permitted to compromise the simple truth.  Radical individualism in the face of all other options.  The very thought of an individual becoming just another gear in the greatAetherium Tov machine is enough to drive most Tov user to the brink of a desperate madness.  This frustration allows them to manifest and control powerful destructive capabilities within the Aetherium.

Tovs share all the usual similarities with their Nanomei brethren: torn jeans, anarchist tattoos, and hidden faces.  Like many others, they are usually quite faithful digital representations  of their material-selves, albeit with a far cooler demeanor and a more sleek appearance, however, whatever minor upgrades they manage to give themselves, Tovs rarely disguise their desire for wanton destruction.  Once the battle begins, the inferno of rage and vile bitterness is unleashed, often with unpredictable violence.

Within the System, Tovs act as the short-range sword of the Nanomei.  Armed with a seeming never ending supply of cocktails, Tovs ignite their enemies and their surrounding.  If the initial explosion fails to destroy its target, then the ongoing flames make sure nothing last for much longer.  Some of the more clever, reliable users lend their weapons for support as well, lighting areas up and blocking enemy paths.  Aetherium TovMore than once, a Tov in the right place at the right time has turned the tables in a dire situation to favor the Nanomei.
