Recommendations:

The story follows a filmmaker who has a stroke. This leaves her vulnerable. It also leaves her in a position where she can’t do everything for her self. She can’t even make good decisions. It starts to really come unglued when she invites a con man to try out for her next movie. The story itself is not the best. It is slow at times and even painful to watch at others. The one thing this movie does get right is casting Isabelle Huppert as Maud the main character. She is far and above the best thing this movie has going for it. She sells the character so well, and she does it in a way that really makes a slow and sometimes painful movie worth watching. The story didn’t keep me interested, but her performance did.
Overall the story just sputters out shortly after the main character has the stroke which is within the first ten minutes of the movie. From that point, the reason to keep watching is the performance that Isabelle Huppert delivers.
