Steven Seagal plays John. He has been a bad man for a long time and needs to find absolution. He is hired for a job and that job takes him to Ukraine. Once there, he ends mixed up in something even bigger. This gives him his opportunity for absolution. With is partner Chi by his side he takes on the government and a syndicate of crime. Will he get his absolution even if it takes his final breath? The story is certainly a made for direct to dvd story. As is the filming, the soundtrack, and the acting. Though saying that I have to say the locations were great and they even pull off a few great action scenes. The film does have a few strange transitions, but for the most part it does flow decently.

Overall this was a better than expected film. You can tell that Steven Seagal is well past his prime if he ever really had one. Still he has a few of his classic action film moments. It has a very 1980’s action film feel maybe because of the lead and maybe because they were using some 80’s style filming, of course that does not include the stick on bullet holes. Really you just need to know what you are getting in for and not expect to much. It is not a terrible watch and gets better as it goes on. You know about the time that Steven Seagal starts to take on all the bad guys for his absolution.
