Movies from the 60s, some have aged like fine wine while others have turned into vinegar. Unfortunately, this particular film falls into the latter category. To make matters worse, finding a decent copy of the movie is like searching for a needle in a haystack. The copy I managed to track down was so dark and gloomy, I felt like I needed a flashlight just to see what was happening on screen.

The plot revolves around a secretary who decides she’s had enough of her wealthy boss and hatches a plan to steal his identity and his money. It’s a classic tale of deception and greed, with a twist that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I must say, I appreciate the subtlety of the storytelling back in the day. They didn’t feel the need to spoon-feed the audience every detail, leaving room for imagination and suspense. It’s a lost art in today’s cinema.

In the end, this movie is like a vintage car that looks great from afar but falls apart as soon as you take it for a spin. It’s a reminder that not all classics stand the test of time.
