American Vampire Vol 3
Overview: It’s the 1940’s, and our world is at war. From Imperial Japan to Nazi Germany, rivers of blood have been spilled. But that will be nothing compared to the ocean of horror the Axis powers will unleash if they succeed in harnessing the ultimate weapon – vampires.
On an island near Japan, a ferocious new strain of vampire could lead to a kamikaze strike against all humankind. And in a castle in Eastern Europe, a vampiric master race is massing to create a Reich of their own. Now vampires and vampire hunters alike are caught in the crossfire and Skinner Sweet, the first American vampire, is on the front lines. Both he and an underground army of his deadliest enemies must work to defeat the Axis/undead alliance. Because in the shadow of the swastika and the fire of the rising sun, even American vampires can burn.

Recommendations:
The story has advanced to World War II. On an Island near Japan at a secret base they have secrets that they don’t want out. Secrets that could change the war. Also in a castle in Romania the Germans have another secret, one that could also change the war. Neither of those situations are good for the United States or the American Vampires. Can either or both of them be stopped before it is too late. What sacrifices will have to be made along the way. These things and more are answered in this book.
Overall, I enjoyed this story more than the ones in the other two books. The Third Reich using supernatural beings to fight the war is not a new concept in media so it was a perfect fit for this series to have a stop in that time. I hope there are more stories in this time frame and they continue to build on what they created in this collections.
