The story continues. The students are back at school, but things feel different. It feels like things are getting bad and the simple life of school is not going to last long. Everyone seems to be picking a direction to go, and all are trying to overcome what it takes to get there. The story for the most part is fairly straight forward. A few times I caught myself flipping back thinking I missed a page as the story didn’t seem to move from page to page, but this was just a couple of times. Otherwise, I liked that Suguro was really the main character in this book. With Rin and Yukio have bit parts. This really felt like a start to a build off of something big. That leaves me wanting more and wanting to see what is next for the band of future exorcists.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. I can tell when I enjoy a manga book, as it feels short by the time you finish. This book felt short and left me wanting more. Just a well written story that I hope continues to build in the next couple of volumes.
