The story follows Rin as he continues to train. He is sent with classmates on a training mission. The results of the training mission will determine who gets to go on a real mission. Of course things are more complicated than that and not only does Rin have to learn to work with friends, he also has to learn to look beyond the surface at things going on that are not out in the open.

Overall, this was a good read. I enjoyed the story in this volume. The only complaint is that at times it gets confusing which characters are interacting. Most of this is due to it being a manga style black and white drawings, and these sometimes don’t make it clear who is being represented. Other times it is the names are hard to keep straight. Still, I enjoyed the story and will be looking forward to the next volume.
