This is the Christmas episode of the season.  The big story surrounds Eddie and the challenges that Christopher has around Christmas.  It seems everything has to be perfect.  Eventually Eddie gets to the bottom of it that leads to a big announcement.  Another ongoing story is two women meet at a see Santa event and find out that they share the same husband.  It is hard to like the guy, but the two women find a way to cope with the situation with a nudge in the right direction.  A lonely woman keeps calling 911 just to have someone to talk to, and it is even a bonus if they actually send someone out.    An office romance leads to unexpected consequences when a shy office worker tries to ask out her crush. The episode has a bunch of smaller stories like Buck no knowing what to get Taylor and  Bobbie and Athena wanting to host a large party that no one wants to come to.

Overall, this is a holiday episode.  It has some touching moments, some shocks, and even a few moments that are a bit sad.  I didn’t mind the episode, but it does feel like a filler episode that they choose to wrap around the holidays.  For a mid-season finale, it didn’t seem to pack the punch that others mid seasons finales generally do.  The series itself has a lot of open stories and the finale really only adds one to that list.
