The first call is a test run, but the new fire Marshall is watching for any slip up. Of course, even a test run has its challenges and problem areas. The next call is a cliff side rescue that time is of the essence. Buck can not get over his struggles to return. This will continue to challenge him and his friendships. Maddie struggles with a some hang-ups she has at the dispatch office. She does not know if she is chasing shadows or is something more sinister is going on. Two siblings have some struggles over their dead mom’s things and who was the favorite child. The story does take a step back from what has been some intense episodes so far this season. Not sure if I will ever like the direction they are going with Buck’s character and for that matter Maddie’s either.
Overall, this was still an ok episode, it just does not live up to what I have gotten used to. To be fair, this series has more hits than misses, but it still has a few episodes that are just average. This episode happens to be one of those episodes that is just average.
