This episode stars where the last one left off. Looking for someone that sent a message in a bottle down the river. He is stranded somewhere in the hills and the crew is looking for him. When they find him, he is injured but wants to keep looking for something. Soon after that it is revealed that a famous author died, and before he died he buried a treasure worth 5 million. It is buried somewhere in L.A. and the only clues are a poorly written poem. This put the entire town on the hunt, and often times at their own peril. They keep the rescue teams and the police force busy trying to keep people as safe as possible. Though, even the 118 is not immune to the lure of the hunt. They start to use the knowledge they are learning of where others have not found it, to start their own hunt.
Overall, I really enjoyed this. The thrill of the hunt. The surrounding excitement. The characters interactions during this time. Even the twists along the way really made this fun. Just a well done episode that does not take itself overly serious and one that lets loose a little from the character driving stories that are normally done. For all of those reasons, this really worked.
