Rating:3 half star

This episode is all about the past.  In the first sequence, a former oil well explodes, trapping a person learning to drive in a car with the person testing her.  The explosion caused a pen to get logged in the chest of the person conducting the test, and it will take heroics all around to save her.  Athena responds to a call at a casino for a crime that was committed in the 80’s.  Bobby and Athena can’t let go of the unsolved mystery.  Buck and Taylor have some unsaid things going on in their lives, and this concerns Buck.  Will he do what he always does, or will he do what needs to be done to fix things?  Finally, Toni has a chance to meet up with a former lover but will she want to?

This episode has a lot going on.  They are all smaller stories that mess around things from the past.  An abandoned oil well, a 40+ year old crime, an event that happened during Taylor’s childhood, and a lover from days gone by.  I always like the way this series does loosely find a way to lump stories into a theme that carries through the episode.
