In this episode, the department has a whole new set of calls to take on. One of the calls leads to one of the members wondering if he can move on from the call. It has devastating effects on him. Once again, I felt like the character played by Connie Britton named Abby is amazing. She really has a great feel for the character and how to portray everything that is going on in her life, or not going on in some cases. My only complaint with this episode, and I maybe should have docked them a few more points, but it takes part in the home invasion section of the show. Seriously, in a neighborhood that has had a series of break-ins and this one has a 9-year-old girl trapped in the house, yet only one officer and a fire truck respond. Police would converge like flies on cow pies. They would have the neighborhood at least blocked off so no one could get in or out. If this show is trying to be somewhat realistic, then it failed in that segment.
Overall, it was a great episode with a lot of character development and growth, yet it still keeps the pace up with other things. I am impressed with the acting, the story, and the timing of the episode. They are doing a nice job making us root for the main characters, and hopefully that is not just to set us up. Once again when the episode ended I wanted more, and once again it is going to be a long wait for the week to pass, so I get another one.
