Rating: 3 half star

This is kind of an average episode after the high that the left episode achieved.  In this episode, a new guy at the 118 is asked how his day was, and he curses everyone when he says it is pretty quiet.  This causes everyone to go on high alert.  This causes the 118 to have calls non-stop.  Some are mundane, some are challenging, and some make you shake your head.  Of course, not everyone is on board with the curse and even taught the curse.  Though, is it a curse or a jinx?  Since the episode is called jinx, I will have to go with jinx.  We have gotten use to the 118 going to big fires both in size but also in scope. In this episode, the 118 spends a lot of time putting out little fires and trying to figure out who the mysterious firefighter, who is terrible at his job, is?  This does reconnect Eddie with someone he once knew, but he is not sure if he is ready for that.

Overall, this episode is fairly average.  It has a bunch of little fires, though at times they are fun, some are weird and others are just a day in the life of the 118.  They are fighting against a jinx, and that is not something to mess with.  Though a semi light-hearted episode was probably a good fit, it is hard to go from the level of the previous episode to a more low-key episode.  It is like when a radio station plays a very upbeat song and then switches to something very slow.  It gets your heart pumping and then goes right to the complete opposite.  It does not work for the radio, but with this it at least followed it up with something at least average.
