This is an amazing episode. We have seen a lot of backstories so far, this one tops them all. It is full of everything Buck, including him riding a bike, Maddie leaving the house to move in with Doug, and then Buck getting out of town to find where he belongs. When not dealing with the backstory, the 118 is helping with a factory fire. The factory has converted to hand sanitizer to help with the pandemic. This creates a lot of hot spots. The two stories are both intense. The background of Buck is not only intense but full of emotion. But it shows how he got to where he is and why he does what he does. The two stories feed off of each other and as they switch back and forth between past and present you really are still wanting more from whatever story you are currently in.
Overall, this is the best backstory so far. The way Maddie and Buck interact is amazing. The pull all the emotion that is possible out of this story. It is great to see them be the focus, and it is also great to see how emotional they make this ride.
