This is classic Disney. 101 Dalmatians is the story of a dalmatian that first want to get his owner matched up with the right woman, and it would be even better if she had a Dalmatian as well. Soon after, he helps with the match making for his owner thing work out for him and the new female dalmatian that comes with the deal. Soon puppies are on the way. When Cruella De Vil comes knocking wanting the puppies for herself, all hell breaks loose. This leads to all kinds of adventure as the puppies and their parents try to avoid the cruel misdeeds that Cruella De Vil would like to perform on them. The story has adventure, drama, and even some laughs. It has held up well over the years, and at times the animation is impressive considering the age of the film. The really thought of all kinds of things when it comes to what to add into several scenes. The soundtrack also is fantastic. It really enhances the movie.
Overall, this is a Disney classic and I have nothing to say that would change that. It has one of the best villains in all of Disney Universe, it also had dogs, so that is all it takes for some people. It has a great story that includes adventure, comedy, some drama, and cute puppies. At the end of the day, I am not sure anyone can really hate this film, you might get bored by it, but I don’t think anyone will hate it. You might if you have a phobia of Dalmatians from a childhood incident, but other than that, I don’t think anyone can hate this film. It is old school Disney and that is ok.
